Avenger Cruise 220

Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220

The price of the Avenger 220 Cruise is quite competitive. Hence, it is the main point of discussion when one begins their Avenger Cruise 220 Vs KTM Adventure 250 comparison.

The Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 is a street + highway cruiser. It has a low-rider-like body and a long wheelbase. The bike is economically priced and indigenously made. Bajaj offers the current iteration of the bike at the ex-showroom price of Rs. 1, 72, 556.

The bike is also known to be a fuel-efficient vehicle. Owners have claimed that the bike can run for 40 KMs/Litre of petrol. The bike is equipped with a 13-litre fuel tank.

The bike has all the bells and whistles of a highway cruiser. The saddle of the bike is low-slung. The footrests are front-swept. The handlebar is rear-swept. The biker will be protected from the elements by a sturdy windshield.

The long wheelbase of the bike makes it ideal for touring as one would have ample space for luggage. The seats are perfectly contoured and padded. It means that one can ride the bike comfortably for hours.

The engine on the bike is the same unit that was used to power the legendary Pulsar 220 F. The engine is a 220 cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder, BS6 unit. The peak power and torque outputs of the engine are set at 18.4 bhp and 17.55 Nm respectively.

The KTM Adventure 250 on the other hand is one of the best touring bikes in India. The bike has large and comfortable seats for both riders. The wheels and tires on the bike are on the all-terrain side. However, it would be best for KTM to equip the bike with spoke wheels. Wheels with spokes tend to offer more durability compared to their alloy counterparts.

The suspension setup of the bike is set medium. The reason is simple. A medium suspension setting keeps the rider and their pillion happy. And stable when the bike is cruising along the highway or conquering corners. For a better look at the features of the bike, one should take a test ride. Other than that, one must remember that this bike comes with a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock.

The overall design of the latest KTM Adventure 250 remains the same as the outgoing model. The headlight still is a single-pod unit. The bike still has a tall windscreen. The brand offers the motorcycle in dual-tone.

  • A halogen headlight unit
  • LED DRLs
  • LED turn indicators
  • LED taillight
  • LCD screen as an instrument cluster
  • Switchable dual-channel ABS.

The engineers of KTM left the engine on the bike untouched. The motorcycle is still powered by a BS-compliant engine. The engine is liquid-cooled, has a single-cylinder and is fuel injected. The displacement of the engine is 248 CC. A transmission is a six-speed unit. The peak power and torque outputs of the motor are 29.5bhp and 24Nm respectively.
