Motorcyclists in India are slowly understanding the fact that a bike is more than an easy means of commuting. This is one of the many reasons why there is a strong demand for adventure bikes in India.
Adventure bikes come with comfortable riding positions.
An adventure bike will have a chest-level positioned wide handlebar. The footpegs on the bike would be at the centre position of the bike. The front of the bike has to have a tall and sturdy windscreen. The windshield will keep the rider from getting blasted by high-speed winds.
Next up, an adventure bike would need to come with large and comfortable seats for both riders.
The tires and wheels to need to be large. This is the reason why an ideal adventure bike would come with large spoke-style rims and off-road friendly tires. Spoke-style rims are sturdier than alloys and can be repaired easily. Off-road friendly tires will offer impressive grip on all weathers.

The overall suspension setup of an adventure bike would need to be capable as well. The suspension setup would need to handle the additional weight of luggage taken on a bike trip. It should also come with adjustable features. The adjustability of suspension becomes a necessity when the bike will be taken on an off-road trail. Both the front and rear suspension units should come with a longer suspension travel factor. The dampers should also be able to dampen the shocks sustained by the bike while climbing over rocks and undulations.

An adventure bike would also need to come with a large fuel tank so that the rider can remain on the road longer between fill-ups.

The feature changes on the 2022 iteration of 250 Adventure are limited to styling elements.
For instance, the bike now comes in new colours. The available colour schemes from the factory are Electric Orange and Factory Racing Blue.

The engine has not been modified. The unit remains the BS-compliant unit. It is liquid-cooled, single-cylinder and fuel injected. The displacement of the engine is 248 CC. A transmission is a six-speed unit. The peak power and torque outputs of the motor are 29.5bhp and 24Nm respectively.
Similar to its predecessor, the 2022 250 Adventure has a USD fork suspension from WP’s Apex range. The rear suspension is an adjustable monoshock unit. It is also from WP’s Apex range.
Brakes remain the same – disc braking units for both wheels. The callipers are from ByBre.
According to the official KTM Bikes Price List, the 2022 Adventure 250 has an ex-showroom (Delhi) price of 2.35 lakh*.
There are hardly any motorcycles in India that can be categorised as a proper ‘adventure’ bike. The KTM 250 CC variant of the Adventure range is not one of them. It is an adventure bike from all angles and buying one is the best decision one can make!
