A Quick Comparison Between Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 Vs KTM RC 200

The bike is offered in one variant and four colors. The bike has a dry weight of 156 KGs and is equipped with a 12-liter fuel tank.

The bike is positioned above the 220F version of the Pulsar range. Hence, it is a premium bike. It is a naked street bike and comes with dual-tone paint schemes. The available paint schemes are –

  • Burnt Red
  • Pewter Grey
  • Satin Blue and
  • Metallic Pearl White

The bike comes with a BS6-compliant, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. The displacement of the engine stands at 199.5 CCs. The engine is quite powerful. It can produce 24.13 bhp and 18.5 Nm of peak power and torque.

The engine is paired with a smooth-shifting 6-speed gearbox.

The front wheel is paired with a telescopic fork-style suspension unit. The rear wheel is paired with a preload-adjustable mono-shock suspension unit.

The front wheel has a 280mm disc brake whereas the rear wheel has a 230mm disc brake. The bike is equipped with a single-channel ABS as OEM standard fitment.

 

KTM RC 200

 

KTM kept the overall package of the RC 200 unchanged for quite some years. Recently, the bike received a much-needed update. The changes to the bike made it more rider-friendly, accessible, and exciting.

The overall design of the bike has been altered quite a bit. For starters, the bike looks more mature and big. The sharp edges of the bike now appear seamless.

The headlamp unit is an all-LED setup. A center console is also an all-LED unit that is borrowed from the new Duke 250.

The LED-turn indicators are mounted on the fairing of the bike. Furthermore, the capacity of the bike’s fuel tank has been increased to 13.7-liters from 9.5-liters.

The hardware of the bike also received many updates. For starters, the bike now sits on a re-engineered Trellis frame that is split in two. The split-Trellis frame is bolted onto the sub-frame of the bike.

The brakes and the alloy wheels used on the bike are lighter. The bike still carries the WP Apex USD front shocks and rear preload-adjustable mono-shock.

The handlebar of the bike is now fully adjustable and can be raised or lowered depending on the rider’s preference.

The engine of the bike is a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, BS6-compliant unit. The displacement of the engine stands at 199.5 CCs. The engine is tuned to belt out 25.4bhp and 19.5 Nm of peak power and peak torque.

The air intake of the engine is now bigger. This ensures torque boost in low RPM ranges. The radiator unit of the bike is also redesigned to ensure better cooling for the engine in stop-and-go traffic. The seats are spacious and comfortable hence making long rides pretty easy.
