Here, we will pit the two bikes on the basis of their most appealing selling points in order to expound more on what kind of buyers the two bikes are suited for.

Bajaj Discover 110

With a price tag of Rs. 54,195*, the Discover 110 is a modest bike with a power output of 8.6 PS at 7000 rpm and 9.81 Nm at 5000 rpm torque. Housing a carburetor and a petrol engine, its 4-gear manual transmission cycle supplies it with enough power to reach a top speed of 100 kmph. It has an air-cooled and a single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine. The Discover 110 offers an average mileage of 69 kmpl, which comes under the commuter bike category. It has a digital speedometer.

All things aside, the Discover 110 does not have an anti-lock braking system. Instead, it has front and rear drum brakes with a combi-brake system. With a telescopic front suspension and wheel-travel NitroX rear suspension, and a semi-double cradle chassis, the Discover 110 scores neatly on comfort and stability.

It comes in two color options, namely black with grey decals and black with red decals.

Bajaj Platina 110

Priced at Rs. 51,283*, the Platina 110 gives off more than its looks, providing a power output of 7.9 PS @7500 rpm power and 8.34 Nm @5500 rpm torque. Housing a carburetor and a petrol engine, its 4-gear manual transmission is a little weaker than the Bajaj Discover 110, whose top speed is 100 kmph compared to the Platina 110's 90 kmph. Its engine is air-cooled, single-cylinder, 2-valve, DTS-I with Exhaust TEC.

The Platina 110 surpasses the Bajaj Discover and other similar bikes in terms of mileage with a whopping 100 kmpl figure. However, it has an analog speedometer, which is a conventional speedometer and does not have an anti-lock braking system or ABS. In lieu of it, there are front and rear drum brakes with a combi-brake system.
